Health & Safety

One of the best methods to ensure your children's health in our childcare setting is to maintain a clean environment. Germs can live on and spread from dirty toys, furniture, blankets, cooking utensils, and any surfaces. Cleaning and disinfecting are a major part of our daily routine at our drop-and-go child daycare center. There are a couple of important processes involved with getting things clean and preventing the spread of germs, such as washing all objects and then disinfecting all of the items. Unfortunately, not all bacteria are eliminated by cleaning. We also disinfect the items to ensure we eliminate any remaining bacteria.

Cleaning and Sanitizing

Good sanitary practices must be upheld at all times in our daycare settings. A high rate of contagious diseases among youngsters is a real concern in an environment with so many of them in close quarters. Tender Oaks Child Care is dedicated to the health and safety of all the children in our care, and our professional team takes extra care to teach them healthy habits like regular handwashing and the dangers of cross-contamination. This involves a meticulously scheduled and documented cleaning and sanitization program for all of our daycare children, including the correct changing and disposal of diapers for babies.

Baby Changing and Bathroom Routines

Many infectious diseases are transferred to daycare facilities during diaper changes and bathroom visits. In order to drastically cut down on the spread of illness in our child care program, our staff members have been trained to properly change diapers and assist children with using the toilet. Most young children, including toddlers and preschoolers, lack the maturity to be trusted in a restroom alone, this is why we make sure there is always an adult around to supervise the children while they use the facilities and ensure the correct handwashing routine is followed.

First Aid Kit and Training

As a daycare center, we are aware that accidents can and do happen. Being ready for anything, including an unexpected accident, is the best approach to dealing with it. In the event of an emergency, we will react quickly and effectively because we are prepared. Despite precautions, accidents can still occur. We keep a well-stocked first aid kit in a locked container where our caregivers can easily access it, but where children can't get to it. Each member of management and every caregiver on staff has received training in pediatric and child first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Outdoor Safety

The great outdoors is one of the children's favorite places to play. It's a great spot to have some fun and see how your physical abilities stack up. Taking some additional steps is necessary in order to protect youngsters when they are outside. Kids are never left unattended or unsupervised outside. No electrical equipment, such as air conditioners, is within reach of children in playgrounds since all play spaces are surrounded by fencing. Our gates always have child-resistant latches and a high-quality security locking system installed, so our property is safe at all times.
